USPE PET animal-science casework specifications

100% American-made laboratory casework, with stainless steel as our standard specialty. Specify standard cabinets or a fully custom build around the animal-science procedure, operator access, utilities and room layout.

Material and finish are separate decisions

Choose stainless steel, powder-coated stainless steel or powder-coated steel. Confirm the grade, gauge, fabrication, weld finish, countertop and coating system for the actual model; the casework origin statement does not establish the origin of every purchased fixture or accessory.

Glass, doors and hardware

Request clear, frosted, grey-tinted or bronze-tinted appearance; solid hinged, glazed hinged, sliding or open storage; and the hinge and pull references. Confirm glazing type, thickness, tempered or laminated requirements, framing, handing, edge treatment and cabinet fit in the written specification.

University, research and controlled-environment projects

Include teaching positions, specimen workflow, animal-science storage, cleanroom-project requirements and any cold-storage interfaces in the room brief. These describe project uses, not blanket containment, biosafety or cleanroom certifications.

Casework care & maintenance guides

Original USPE PET guidance for stainless steel, powder-coated steel and two-tone casework, with inspection records and equipment-support details.

General care guidance, not a model-specific installation manual, disinfection validation or engineering approval. Follow the actual component instructions and facility protocol.
