Agreement Overview
Welcome to American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment. These Terms & Conditions govern your purchase of mortuary coolers, funeral home equipment, and related products from our company. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing any mortuary equipment.

1. Order Acceptance & Payment
Order Placement
When you place an order through American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment, you are making an offer to purchase mortuary coolers and equipment subject to these Terms & Conditions. American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment reserves the right to accept or reject any order at our sole discretion.
Payment Terms
All orders must be paid in full before your mortuary equipment is dispatched. We accept major credit cards, wire transfers, and authorized payment methods. Payment must be received and cleared before processing your order.
2. Product Lead Times & Availability
Lead Times Are Estimated Only
All lead times quoted are ESTIMATED ONLY unless you have received a written lead time commitment with expedited handling authorization from American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment. Lead times may vary and can extend beyond initial estimates due to manufacturing delays, supply chain issues, or product availability.
⚠️ Verify Lead Times Before Ordering
It is your responsibility to verify exact product availability and lead times PRIOR to placing an order. Email leadtime@mymortuarycooler.com with your specific product request and desired delivery date before committing to purchase.
Written Lead Time Guarantees
The only lead time guarantees that bind American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment are those provided exclusively in writing and signed by an authorized company representative. Verbal promises, email estimates, or phone quotes do not constitute binding lead time commitments.
Expedited Handling
Expedited handling charges may apply to rush orders. Expedited lead times must be confirmed in writing with payment of any applicable expedited fees before your order will receive priority processing.
3. Shipping & Delivery Terms
Shipping Coverage
All quoted shipping prices cover delivery to the continental United States (lower 48 states). Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or rural areas may incur additional shipping charges beyond the estimated quote.
Shipping Methods
Mortuary coolers and funeral equipment are shipped via:
- UPS or FedEx (small packages)
- LTL Freight Carriers (larger mortuary equipment)
- Third-party logistics partners including XPO Logistics, R&L Carriers, and TFORCE
NO LIABILITY FOR DELIVERY DELAYS OR FAILURES
⚠️ Consequential Damages Disclaimer
IN NO EVENT SHALL SELLER BE LIABLE FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL OR SPECIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM DELAY OR FAILURE OF DELIVERY OR INSTALLATION.
American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment is not responsible for damages, losses, or expenses resulting from delayed delivery, delivery failures, or installation delays, including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, or operational downtime at your facility.
Dispatch Times
- Small packages: Generally within 2 business days of payment (estimated)
- Large mortuary coolers: Varies based on availability (estimated)
- Special orders: Lead time as quoted (estimated only)
Tracking & Delivery
A tracking number will be provided for all mortuary equipment shipments. You are responsible for monitoring your shipment and coordinating delivery with the freight carrier. All shipments are dispatched at the customer's risk.
4. Damage Claims & Carrier Liability
Damaged Mortuary Equipment Shipments
While American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment will assist you in filing damage claims with freight carriers, damage claims are between you and the carrier, not directly with American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment.
Inspection Requirements
All mortuary equipment shipments must be fully inspected immediately upon delivery. Inspection must include complete external box inspection, unpacking, and verification of all contents matching your purchase order.
Damage Claim Procedure
If your mortuary equipment arrives damaged, follow these steps:
- Inspect - Fully inspect upon delivery (upon receipt)
- Document - Take at least 6 photos showing damage (same day)
- Notify - Email damage report to claims@mymortuarycooler.com (within 24 hours)
- Preserve Evidence - Keep packing materials and damaged items for 90 days
- File with Carrier - Contact freight carrier with all documentation
⚠️ 24-Hour Notification Deadline
Damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of delivery. Claims reported after 24 hours may be denied by freight carriers and cannot be processed.
Required Documentation for Damage Claims
To file a valid damage claim, provide:
- Original shipping documentation and invoice
- Bill of Lading (BOL) number from carrier
- Tracking number from shipping carrier
- Minimum 6 high-quality photos showing exterior and interior damage
5. Sales Tax Responsibility
⚠️ YOU Are Responsible for All Sales Tax
Buyer is fully responsible for any sales, use, excise or similar tax arising from the purchase of products or services from American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment.
Sales Tax Policy
All quoted prices do NOT include sales tax unless explicitly shown as a separate line item on your invoice. American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment currently collects sales tax in:
- Tennessee
- Florida
For all other states: You are responsible for calculating and remitting any applicable sales tax to your state tax authority. American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment will provide documentation of your purchase for tax reporting purposes.
Tax Payment
Sales tax (when applicable in TN or FL) will be added to your invoice at checkout. You are responsible for paying all applicable taxes. No sales are quoted inclusive of sales tax unless exclusively shown in writing.
6. Installation Services
⚠️ Installation Services NOT Included
Installation services are NOT included with any mortuary cooler or equipment purchase unless exclusively agreed to in writing with American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment.
NO CIRCUMSTANCES EXCEPTION: Installation is never included by default, verbally, or through phone quotes. Installation must be explicitly authorized in a written agreement with signature by both parties.
If Installation Is Desired
To arrange installation services for your mortuary equipment:

- Request a written installation quote
- Review and sign the written installation agreement
- Pay installation fees as specified in the agreement
Default Delivery
By default, your mortuary cooler will be delivered to your facility but NOT installed. Installation coordination is the customer's responsibility unless a separate written installation agreement is in place.
7. Limited Warranties
Manufacturer Warranties
All mortuary coolers and funeral equipment come with manufacturer warranties as specified in product documentation. American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment is a reseller and passes through all manufacturer warranties provided by the equipment manufacturer.
Warranty Coverage Limitations
Warranties do NOT cover:
- Damage from improper installation or operation
- Damage from power failures or electrical issues at customer location
- Damage from shipping or carrier negligence
- Wear and tear from normal use beyond warranty period
- Modifications made by customer or non-authorized technicians
- Lack of proper maintenance or preventive care
- Improper refrigerant handling or servicing by unauthorized technicians
AS-IS Disclaimer
Mortuary equipment and coolers are sold AS-IS unless otherwise specified in writing. American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment disclaims all warranties not expressly provided by manufacturers, including fitness for particular purpose or merchantability.
8. Indemnification
Buyer Indemnification
Buyer shall indemnify Seller and its employees and agents from any loss, damage or expense, including attorney's fees, arising from or relating to transportation, installation, use or performance of any Product unless the claim arises directly from a Product defect covered by the Limited Warranty.
Employee Claims
Indemnification for employee claims shall not be limited by applicable worker's compensation, disability or other employee benefit acts. Buyer assumes full responsibility for all claims arising from employee use, operation, or injury related to mortuary equipment purchased from American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment.
9. Governing Law & Variation of Terms
Governing Law
The rights and obligations of Seller shall be governed by the laws of Washington County, Tennessee. Any disputes arising from these Terms & Conditions or mortuary equipment purchases will be resolved under Tennessee law in the appropriate courts of Washington County.
No Waiver or Modification
No waiver, modification or addition to these terms shall bind Seller unless agreed to in writing by an authorized representative of Seller. Verbal promises, telephone quotes, or email communications do not modify these Terms & Conditions unless followed by a signed written agreement.
Entire Agreement
The provisions hereof are intended to be a final expression of the agreement of Seller and Buyer and are intended as an exclusive statement of all terms applicable to Buyer's order. Any additional terms proposed by Buyer are rejected unless explicitly accepted in writing by American Mortuary Coolers & Equipment.
