Scope
This Export & International Sales Policy governs all sales by American Mortuary Equipment Company and American Mortuary Coolers shipped to, or intended for use in, destinations outside the United States, including the Caribbean and Pacific territories. It supplements our Terms and Conditions and International Warranty and Service Planning guide.
Incoterms and shipping
Unless your quote states otherwise, international orders are sold EXW (Ex Works) Johnson City, TN or FOB U.S. port as specified on the quote, per Incoterms 2020. The buyer is responsible for international freight, marine insurance, export packing beyond standard crating, and all destination charges.
Duties, taxes, and import compliance
The buyer is the importer of record and is solely responsible for import duties, VAT/GST, brokerage fees, destination port charges, and compliance with the import regulations, electrical standards, and refrigerant regulations of the destination country. AME makes no representation that equipment configured for the U.S. market satisfies the regulatory requirements of any other jurisdiction unless expressly stated in writing on the quote.
Export control
All exports are made in accordance with U.S. export laws, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Equipment may not be sold, diverted, or re-exported to embargoed or sanctioned countries, or to denied or restricted parties, as designated by the U.S. government. By placing an international order, the buyer certifies it is not a restricted party and will not divert the goods contrary to U.S. law.
Voltage and configuration
Export units requiring 50 Hz operation, non-U.S. plug patterns, or destination-specific refrigerants must be specified at the time of quoting. Changes after production begins may incur re-engineering charges.
Payment and cancellation
International orders require payment in full in U.S. dollars by wire transfer before production or release, unless net terms are approved in writing under our Net Terms policy. Built-to-order export equipment is non-cancellable once production begins.
