Capacity Is Positions, Not Floor Space

High capacity comes from stacking. Tiered racks turn one floor position into three or more, so the path to high counts runs through racking the interior, not just adding bigger rooms.

Rails for Access

At high density, access matters as much as count. Full-extension rails let staff reach any position safely without disturbing the others — essential when a cooler is near full.

Refrigerated Volume

Once racking is maxed, walk-in rooms add the refrigerated volume to keep climbing. Pairing a walk-in with full racking is the standard recipe for the highest practical capacity.

Don't Forget the Reserve

High-capacity planning keeps routine occupancy below roughly 75% so there is always headroom for a surge. Capacity you can never safely fill is not really capacity.
