Walk-In Cooler Shipping Terms & Freight Policy

Policy SH-1.0 · Effective July 8, 2026. Flat-rate freight on every AMC walk-in cooler, freezer, and refrigerator — priced by footprint tier, stated up front, no checkout surprises.

Freight Tiers — By Cooler Size

TIER 1 — up to 200 sq ft (through 10×20) $1,595 flat
TIER 2 — 201 to 400 sq ft (through 20×20) $2,995 flat
TIER 3 — over 400 sq ft (12×40, 24×24 & larger) $3,455 flat

⚠ REMOTE-REGION SURCHARGE — +$495

Shipments to Montana, North Dakota, Arizona, California, Oregon, Washington, South Dakota, Northern Minnesota, or South Texas rural areas carry an automatic +$495 freight surcharge, added at quoting and order confirmation. Long-haul lanes and limited carrier density in these regions make this surcharge unavoidable — we state it here so it never surprises you.

🚜 UNLOADING AT DELIVERY — BUYER-PROVIDED FORK EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

Walk-in panel systems ship as palletized crates that cannot be hand-unloaded. The buyer must have a forklift or equipment with forks onsite at delivery. Liftgate service, where equipment permits, covers curbside positioning only — fork equipment for offload and staging is the buyer's responsibility. Missed unloading due to absent equipment incurs carrier redelivery/storage fees billed to the buyer.

Not Included — Stated Plainly

  • Refrigerant is NOT included with any walk-in system. Final refrigerant charge is supplied and performed at installation by the buyer's EPA §608-certified technician.
  • Installation is NOT included unless exclusively stated in writing on your quote. Inside delivery and set-in-place are likewise quote-only services.
  • Electrical work is NOT included: systems require a dedicated 208–230V single-phase circuit, a separate low-voltage line for the internal evaporator fan circuit, and — if the LED lighting package is added — a 115V single-phase lighting circuit, all buyer-provided per code.

Terms & Conditions of Freight

  • Service level: curbside commercial LTL/flatbed delivery with liftgate where equipment permits; flat-pack panelized crating. Inside delivery, set-in-place, and installation are not included unless quoted in writing.
  • Delivery appointment: carrier contacts your facility to schedule; a responsible adult must receive and sign.
  • Inspection at delivery — required: count pieces and inspect for damage before signing. Note any damage or shortage on the delivery receipt. Per our Freight Carrier policy FC-1.0, unnoted damage severely limits claim recovery.
  • Freight claims: report concealed damage within 48 hours with photos to cool@mymortuarycooler.com.
  • Transit times: estimates only; AMC is not liable for carrier delays. Storage/redelivery fees from missed appointments are the buyer's responsibility.
  • Title & risk: pass per the Terms of Purchase; buyers remain responsible for site readiness, access, and unloading equipment beyond liftgate service.
  • Quotes control: written freight quotes govern where they differ from this schedule (unusual access, islands, export, expedite).

Nominal Dimensions Disclosure (DM-1.0)

📐 ALL MODEL DIMENSIONS ARE NOMINAL — ROUNDED TO THE NEAREST FOOT

Across the entire AMC catalog, walk-in model names and footprint dimensions (width × length) are nominal figures rounded to the nearest foot. Actual as-built panel runs measure slightly under nominal due to modular panel increments. Examples: a 16′ nominal run is 15′8″ actual; a 10′ nominal run is approximately 9′10″ (9.85′) actual — so a 10×10 model measures approximately 9.85′ × 9.85′ as built, and a 16×20 measures 15′8″ × 20′ nominal per its published spec table.

Interior usable dimensions additionally run 8″ under exterior on each horizontal axis due to 4″ panel walls. Exact stamped as-built dimensions accompany every quote — plan slabs, doorways, and clearances from your quote's dimension sheet, and call 1-888-792-9315 before pouring concrete if any clearance is tight. This disclosure applies site-wide to all AMC walk-in coolers, freezers, and refrigerators.
