How does the aspirator work?

It is a hydro-powered, water-driven embalming aspirator, so there is no separate electric pump to maintain. Standard water pressure drives fluid evacuation.

Can I add the eyewash later?

No. The hand-held side-mounted eyewash (SKU AME 1036-ES-EW, +$695) is an order-time option only and is not retrofittable.

What are the power requirements?

Standard 110V with a GFCI receptacle and waterproof cover built in for safe use in a wet environment.

Can it be flush-mounted?

Yes. It ships with removable front legs or can be flush-mounted, for both new builds and retrofits.

TITAN 1036-ES Embalming Sink Station, 14-Gauge 304 Stainless

The TITAN 1036-ES is a complete embalming sink station for the preparation room: a deep stainless sink basin with continuous rinse, a tall gooseneck mixing faucet, hydro aspirator and spray hose, all plumbed inside one heliarc-welded 14-gauge 304 stainless cabinet. The removable back cover gives your plumber full access, and the rear rough-in is fixed so the wall can be prepped before the station arrives. Built to order in the USA by American Mortuary Equipment.

Utility requirement notes

Flush all supply lines clear before connecting them to the station.
Plumber to provide shut-off valves for the hot and cold water connections.
Electrician to provide a liquid-tight junction box and conduit connections per local codes.
Provide 58–60 psi water pressure and 4 gallons per minute of flow for proper operation of the hydro aspirator.

State drain and plumbing rules

Some states add preparation-room plumbing rules on top of the plumbing code. Confirm current rules with your state board and plumbing inspector before you order.

Pennsylvania, Maryland and New Jersey require a 2″ drain in the funeral preparation room, and many cities and counties add their own plumbing rules on top of the state code. We build every plumbing item to the requirement that applies to your room, including 2″ drain outlets, backflow protection and other code items. Ask your plumbing inspector or state board for the required drain size, backflow device and any special fixture rule.

Replacement parts for the water control plate

This station ships with the AME Water Control Unit plate (model 1036-9WCU). Its fill faucet, mixing valves, spray rinse gooseneck, vacuum breaker, hydro-aspirator, cold-water valve, sight drain, hoses and hardware are all available as AME replacement parts.
