Product Safety Notices, Recall Remedy Windows & Warranty Coordination

DOCUMENT RC-1.0 • EFFECTIVE JULY 4, 2026 • Incorporated into the Terms of Purchase (TC-1.5)

§1 Current Safety Notices

Product safety notices, if applicable, will be posted on this page after verification and review. When a verified active recall, manufacturer safety notice, supplier advisory, or approved product correction applies to a product sold through MyMortuaryCooler.com, the available remedy, process, response window, eligibility, and documentation requirements are determined by the official notice, manufacturer instructions, applicable warranty, supplier program, written MyMortuaryCooler notice, and applicable law.

§2 Remedy Windows & Timely Action

A verified notice may include a specific response window, repair or inspection period, parts-availability period, or warranty-related timeframe. Do not delay reporting a recall issue, safety concern, electrical abnormality, smoke event, overheating, structural issue, injury, or near miss — some remedies, warranty reviews, and freight claims require timely documentation and may be limited by purchase date, delivery date, serial-number range, warranty period, notice terms, parts availability, or applicable law. If no specific deadline has been verified for a given notice, contact Customer Care promptly for current remedy instructions.

§3 What a Remedy May Include

Depending on the product and the official notice, a remedy may include: inspection instructions; replacement parts; manufacturer repair or authorized service review; a replacement product; a software, firmware, label, or manual update; a stop-use instruction; a return or exchange procedure; a refund or credit where applicable; a no-cost remedy where required by the official recall or applicable law; a warranty-based remedy within warranty terms; or written goodwill support without admission of liability. Not every notice includes every remedy.

§4 Eligibility — What to Have Ready

To review any safety-notice or warranty-coordination request, be prepared to provide: product model and serial number • purchase and delivery dates • order number • photos of the product label • photos/video of the reported issue • maintenance and inspection records • a service technician report if one exists • confirmation the product is within the affected range • whether the unit remains in service or has been removed • current facility contact information. Complete documentation is what moves a review fast.

§5 Warranty Period vs. Recall Remedy Period

These are not the same. A warranty addresses covered defects or failures under its stated terms (see Warranty Policy WR-1.0). A recall or safety-notice remedy is a separate manufacturer, supplier, regulatory, or company-approved program with its own eligibility and timeframes. Some concerns are handled through the original manufacturer's warranty, a distributor warranty, or a product-specific written program; unless stated in writing, MyMortuaryCooler does not expand, extend, or modify a manufacturer's warranty. See also TP-1.0 Third-Party Product Safety.

§6 Customer Duty to Mitigate

After becoming aware of a recall, safety notice, abnormal operation, electrical issue, smoke or overheating event, temperature event, injury, or near miss, Customer must take reasonable risk-reduction steps: remove the equipment from service where indicated, follow facility emergency procedures, preserve the equipment and evidence, document conditions, involve qualified personnel, and notify MyMortuary Customer Care promptly.

§7 Support Without Admission

Any inspection, repair, replacement part, courtesy support, recall coordination, warranty review, supplier referral, or goodwill assistance provided by MyMortuaryCooler.com is not an admission of defect, causation, fault, warranty coverage, or liability unless expressly stated in a signed written agreement. MyMortuaryCooler may assist verified customers with identifying affected products, coordinating documentation, contacting the manufacturer or supplier, and facilitating an authorized remedy — availability and timing depend on the official notice, program terms, product eligibility, warranty status, parts and service availability, and applicable law.
