Genuine Kason 56 SafeGuard latch, part number 10056L05020, a direct replacement for the latch that came standard on equipment using it.

This padlocking latch body has a light spring and a polished chrome finish. Its bolt-type tongue gives a positive locking action that keeps doors closed so holding temperatures are maintained, and the padlock feature helps deter theft or tampering after hours.

The housing is high-pressure die-cast zinc and the handle is 300 series stainless steel. Mounting holes are drilled and countersunk for 1/4 in. screws. Overall it measures 11-1/8 in. long by 3-3/8 in. wide and ships at about 5.62 lb.
