COMPLIANCE LIBRARY • DOCUMENT ST-1.0
As of January 1, 2026 • When completed equipment cannot ship or be received on schedule. Subject to change without prior written notice.
Buyers are responsible for being ready to receive equipment when it completes production or reaches the delivery window — site prepared, access clear, receiving personnel available, and payment complete. The Facility Readiness Checklist exists so this date arrives without surprises. Delivery scheduling, liftgate, and access terms follow Freight Carriers & Delivery Terms.
If a buyer requests to delay shipment, cannot accept delivery, or is unreachable for delivery scheduling, AMC may — after written notice — hold completed equipment and assess reasonable storage fees as stated on the quote, invoice, or delay notice, accruing until the equipment ships or is picked up. Storage fees, when assessed, are due before release of the equipment. Carrier-side storage, redelivery, detention, and re-consignment charges billed by freight carriers are the buyer's responsibility, consistent with Estimated Shipping (SC-1.0) and Refused Delivery Policy.
AMC does not guarantee an exact delivery date under any circumstances. All lead times and delivery windows are estimates provided to the best of our ability and are subject to change. Expedited production, expedited shipping, and priority scheduling are available for an additional cost with prior written authorization — call 1-888-792-9315 before ordering to request and confirm. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AMC is not liable for lost business, lost calls, lost case volume, or other consequential damages arising from a delay of any kind or cause, including where AMC's own scheduling is the cause. See Lead Times & Expedited Service (LT-1.0) and Terms of Purchase (TC-1.6) §13A.
Equipment held at the buyer's request or due to buyer unavailability is stored at the buyer's risk from the date AMC provides notice that the equipment is complete and ready. AMC exercises ordinary care but is not liable for loss beyond that standard; buyers requiring coverage during extended holds should insure stored equipment. Payment obligations are not suspended by a delivery delay the buyer causes; unpaid balances remain due per the invoice and TC-1.6.
All walk-in cooler panels and metal skins ship with a protective barrier film applied to finished surfaces during manufacturing. Removal of this film is the customer's responsibility and must be completed promptly after delivery. Prolonged exposure to sunlight or heat can allow the film adhesive to bond permanently to the panel surface, causing staining or damage. Film adhesion damage is not covered under warranty and is not eligible for return or exchange — it is not a freight or shipping claim.
Equipment left unclaimed after extended written notice may be treated as abandoned to the extent permitted by law, with amounts paid applied against storage, handling, and disposition costs. AMC-caused delays are governed separately by Lead Times and Force Majeure (FM-1.0) — this policy addresses buyer-side delay only. Custom builds: see CO-1.0. Questions: Legal & Compliance Contact.

Walk-in cooler panels and upright cooler cabinet skins are constructed of Class 1 polyurethane foam insulation, injected under pressure into formed molds during manufacturing. Residual foam flash, minor surface variation, or trace foam residue on panel edges and surfaces is a normal characteristic of this manufacturing process — not a defect. Foam residue does not merit discounting, return, refund, or credit of any kind.
You have up to 30 minutes from carrier arrival to thoroughly inspect every panel, crate, unit, and box before signing any delivery receipt or Bill of Lading. Check all surfaces, edges, corners, and refrigeration components while the driver is present. This is your only opportunity to document concerns with the carrier present. Acceptance at delivery is the single most critical step in the delivery process.
By signing the delivery receipt or Bill of Lading — or by accepting delivery in any form — you: (1) accept the shipment in the condition noted on the signed paperwork; (2) release the carrier and American Mortuary Coolers from all liability for any condition, damage, or deficiency that could have been identified during your inspection window; and (3) enter into a binding agreement that goods were received as stated on the signed documentation. Your signature on any shipping paperwork constitutes acceptance of these terms. There are no exceptions once paperwork is signed.
