LEGAL & SAFETY • BINDING UPON PURCHASE
DOCUMENT TP-1.0 • EFFECTIVE JULY 4, 2026 • Incorporated into the Terms of Purchase (TC-1.5)
MyMortuaryCooler.com and affiliated brands may sell products manufactured, assembled, imported, distributed, labeled, or supplied by third-party companies — including powered cots and lifts, refrigeration systems and components, hydraulic equipment, battery-powered devices, chargers, controllers, and electrical accessories. Unless otherwise stated in a signed written agreement, American Mortuary Coolers is not the original manufacturer of third-party products and does not control the manufacturer’s design, engineering, components, testing, electrical certifications, manuals, labels, factory quality control, production changes, or recall decisions. AMC is an authorized dealer for refrigeration manufacturers including Heatcraft Refrigeration Products LLC and Turbo Air; their product documentation governs their systems.
For third-party products, the manufacturer’s manual, warning labels, capacity ratings, specifications, maintenance requirements, and safety instructions control over general website summaries, advertisements, or quote descriptions. If any website content conflicts with the manufacturer’s safety instructions, follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions unless AMC issues a written correction or product-specific safety notice. Customers must review and follow all manuals, labels, electrical requirements, installation instructions, inspection schedules, charging and battery instructions, and safety notices supplied with each product.
For products containing motors, batteries, chargers, controllers, refrigeration components, lift mechanisms, hydraulic power units, cords, plugs, sensors, relays, or powered controls, the buyer is responsible for: safe electrical installation on a compatible, code-compliant power supply; charging per manufacturer instructions; periodic inspection; repair by qualified personnel only; and immediate removal from service if any unsafe condition appears.
Stop using powered equipment immediately upon: smoke, sparks, or burning odor • hot, melted, or damaged cord or plug • discolored outlet • repeated breaker trips • abnormal motor noise • damaged wiring • battery swelling • charger overheating • unexpected movement • hydraulic instability or fluid leak near electrical components • frame damage, loose fasteners, or caster failure • or after any fire, smoke, flood, electrical event, drop, or collision. Do not return equipment to service until inspected and cleared by qualified personnel.
Customers must not open, modify, bypass, rewire, splice, replace controls, alter chargers, change plugs, bypass fuses or safety devices, modify refrigeration components, or alter batteries — and must not continue using powered equipment after an electrical abnormality unless cleared by qualified personnel. Unauthorized repair or modification may void warranty coverage and can create fire, shock, burn, movement, or property-damage risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyMortuaryCooler and affiliated brands are not responsible for fire, shock, equipment damage, downtime, performance issues, or property damage caused by improper wiring, inadequate circuits, power surges, voltage drops, improper grounding, overloaded outlets, extension cords, generator instability, water intrusion, lightning, unauthorized modifications, unqualified repairs, or facility electrical conditions outside product specifications.
Before each use: visual inspection; cord/plug check; abnormal heat, noise, or smell; movement check. Weekly: casters/brakes, fasteners, charger and battery area, hydraulic leak check. Monthly: full operational inspection — cord routing, control box, lift function, emergency stop where equipped. Quarterly/semiannual: qualified service review for high-use facilities. Annual: documented safety and maintenance review by qualified personnel, especially for powered lifts, refrigeration, and hydraulic systems. This is general guidance; a manufacturer-specified schedule controls where one exists. Record model, serial number, inspector, date, findings, and corrective actions, with manager signoff.
1) Stop using the product immediately and follow facility emergency procedures. 2) Call emergency services if active fire, smoke, injury, or immediate hazard exists. 3) Do not dispose of the product, charger, cord, battery, packaging, or affected components. 4) Photograph only if safe; preserve the equipment and scene. 5) Record model and serial number, and document the outlet, breaker, extension cord, or generator setup involved. 6) Preserve maintenance and inspection records. 7) Notify MyMortuary Customer Care at 1-888-792-9315. AMC will document the reported event, notify the supplier or manufacturer, and coordinate review; any support provided is without admission of defect, causation, fault, or liability.
UL, ETL, CSA, CE, FCC, or other listing and certification claims are published only when supported by manufacturer documentation. Refer to the product label, manufacturer manual, and your written quote for product-specific certification information. No product is represented as approved, endorsed, inspected, or validated by CPSC, OSHA, NFPA, or any certification body unless product-specific documentation supports that exact claim.
Third-party products may carry a manufacturer warranty, distributor warranty, or product-specific warranty passed through to the buyer. Coverage varies by product; unless otherwise stated in writing, MyMortuaryCooler does not expand the manufacturer’s warranty. See the Warranty Policy (WR-1.0) for AMC-built equipment coverage.
